Moving into college is emotional for students and parents. For over 30 years, Lehigh alumni have been showing up on day one to carry boxes, direct traffic, and offer a friendly word when nerves are running high.

Known as the 'Asa Un-Packers,' these volunteers help set the tone for incoming freshmen from the second they pull up to campus. As founder Henry Odi Ed.D.'98 put it: "First impressions are critical ... I’ve had parents at graduation approach me and say they remember us helping move their child in."

John Chrin ’85 ’86 P’10 knows the power of a good opportunity. Now, he’s helping open doors for the next generation of students.
For Chrin, mentorship means listening, leading, and connecting. Through his work with Soaring Together, he’s making an impact on students like Calan Armitage ’28, whom he helped secure two summer internships.

With a sports analytics minor launching at Lehigh, it helps to have leaders in the field. Ollie Auerbach ’16 oversees a 250-person team that gathers stats at every NFL game in stadiums around the world. Makes perfect sense for a kid who watched ESPN instead of cartoons.
