Experience a fun and multi-faceted approach to music lessons. Beginning students explore rhythm, melody, and musical phrasing through a combination of activities that incorporate movement, drumming, improvisation, and composition. This work is combined with the development of reading skills and piano technique, and an ever expanding familiarity with composers and compositions. More advanced studen

ts expand skills in these areas while looking more in depth at technique, repertoire, styles and genres. Organ study prepares more advanced keyboard players to explore the unique skills involved in playing this mighty instrument. Pedaling, registration and organ technique are all addressed while we examine repertoire and composers. We will study the unique role of the organ in worship and the skills required in service playing and accompanying. Two studio recitals are held each year.
