St. Nicholas Orthodox Church- Sunday School

This Sunday, May 24th, the St. Nicholas Community will witness the sacrament of Holy Ordination when Isaac Lampart will be ordained into Priesthood. A reception will follow in the St. Nicholas Parish Hall. There will be NO Sunday School this Sunday in order for our students to witness the Holy Ordination service.

There will be regular Sunday School THIS Sunday, 4/26, after Holy Communion.

THIS Sunday, April 5th, we celebrate Palm Sunday. After Holy Communion, we plan to do our annual Sunday School picture on the steps in front of the church. After Holy Communion, Father Alexey will pause the service to pose with our Sunday School students and then after the picture, Father will continue service and our students will be dismissed to Sunday School. More instructions about the annual picture will be announced in church.

This Sunday, March 29th, the students of Greek School will be presenting their celebration of Greek Independence Day after the Divine Liturgy. For this reason, there will be NO Sunday School THIS Sunday, March 29th, so our students can prepare for their Greek School presentations. Great job to our students who celebrated Greek Independence Day earlier this week in Bethlehem, PA.

THIS Sunday, March 15th we celebrate Sunday of the Holy Cross. There will be NO Sunday School so our students can stay in church and enjoy the services.

With the help of God, we have almost reached the middle of the course of the Fast, where our strength has been worn down through abstinence, and the full difficulty of the labour set before us becomes apparent. Therefore our holy Mother, the Church of Christ, now brings to our help the all-holy Cross, the joy of the world, the strength of the faithful, the staff of the just, and the hope of sinners, so that by venerating it reverently, we might receive strength and grace to complete the divine struggle of the Fast.

There will be Sunday School THIS Sunday, March 8th after Divine Liturgy.
