Lower School Music Teacher Chris Chappelle recently celebrated his birthday with a special performance.

He performed opera, musical theatre numbers, spirituals, and art songs like this rendition of Les Berceaux by Gabriel Faure for the audience at Edenwald Senior Living Performing Arts Auditorium. We are grateful he shares this same energy and passion for music with Lower School singers every day.

We are grateful to Ian Healy ’00 who returned to Landon and delivered a personal and powerful keynote address at the Boiardi Forum for Ethical Reflection.

This annual event is dedicated to the memory of George Boiardi ’00, who set the standard as a model student-athlete and inspiring human being both here at Landon and afterwards at Cornell University. He tragically died on the lacrosse field in college after blocking a shot with his chest.

The Boiardi family selected Ian because of his relationship with George, the respect he has earned as an educator, his huge heart, and his ability to connect with students.

From the gym to the trail, Landon parents are building a strong community together. This week, parents hit the gym with Coach K for the first Wednesday Workout of the school year, and grade 4 parents had their first monthly walk along the Capital Crescent Trail. We love seeing families connect on and off campus.

Wednesday Workouts take place each week after late-start drop-off at 9:30 a.m., and more opportunities for parents to connect are on the way. Stay tuned!

What makes Landon clubs so special? Student Life Committee members Aidan Eagle ’27 and Tripp Silva ‘27 take us inside the 2026 Club Fair, where students explored new interests and connected over shared hobbies and passions.
