Here's the NUMBER ONE thing you need to keep in mind about MOTIVATION and CONSISTENCY: 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Hate to break it to you, but you are ❌NEVER❌ going to get to a place where you're going to be motivated all the time!
There are going to be days that you won't feel like doing anything.
And that's just a part of human nature!
People think there's some magical thing they can do to motivate themselves when they need it most. It's not going to happen.
But knowledge is power! Now that you're aware of this fact, you can come up with strategies to help you stay consistent and show up EVEN on those days you just don't want to.
I was in this same position and I compiled tons of strategies to keep myself accountable to ME on lazy days. And once others noticed the changes in me, I helped them do the same.
So let's just say I have a Wikipedia full of the best strategies for the unique issues that mainly face those in the restaurant industry. We were all following wildly different paths, but mastering life in the restaurant industry helped us towards moving on from it.

Some of those nights were worth missing sleep over. They were HELLA fun! But...
..many more of them were forgettable.
I can tell you that, because it's 5 years later, and I've forgotten a lot of them.
Because of that FOMO, I stayed until close night after night, even though I worked the day shift.
It meant that I was too tired to really enjoy my work shifts, and forget about having the energy to go to auditions, exercise, cook, or do laundry once I got off work.
You have an opportunity to make really intentional choices in your life - want to go out and have the best time ever at your local watering hole?
THEN DO IT! I believe in you! 💥
But if you notice that you're hanging around hoping you won't miss out on things, to the detriment of the rest of your life?
Well that just isn't living, friend. It's being afraid.
And you are too much of a badass to spend your life hanging around to avoid being afraid.
Cheers to you creating what you want on purpose so that you don't have to wait around hoping life will happen to you. ❤🍻

So what did I do when my manager regularly scheduled me for double the number of shifts I requested? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

I kept insisting that I was going to talk to my boss about my schedule.
I was miserable and angry about it all the time.
I also kept insisting that I was going to make more time for my acting career.
At that point, I wasn't willing to get uncomfortable enough to actually have things go differently in my life.
If you’re going to insist that you want something, today is the day that you can make it your priority.
Even if it’s in some small way.
Even if it means getting uncomfortable.
Doing something that makes you p*e your pants a bit.
