Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day believes children develop and learn through play in a nurturing and diverse community. We are a nonprofit provider of accredited early childhood education, before/after school, and summer camp with flexible programs, for children ages two months through sixth grade with nine programs in NW Washington, DC and Maryland.

✨📅 Calling all bookworms: Mark your calendars for the Wonders Book Fair at Politics and Prose on Sunday, October 18!

At checkout, families can present the flyer above (printed or digital) for 20% of their purchase to go towards Wonders. The flyer will be accepted at any Politics and Prose location all day (9a-9p), but Wonders volunteers will be helping out from 10a-5p at the Connecticut Ave. location.

Yesterday morning, Delegate Bernice Mireku-North (MD District 14) and Smiti Kumar, her Legislative Aide, visited Edgemoor Early Learning to visit the classrooms and discuss the opportunities and challenges for early care and education in Maryland. After a tour, they met with Joanne Hurt, Executive Director, Early Learning Director, Miciel DeMarco, and Liza Pringle, Early Learning Curriculum Specialist to hear more about the program and the importance of ensuring access to high quality ECE across the state.

As chair of the Maryland House of Delegates Child Care Committee, Del. Mireku-North examines issues related to childcare accessibility and evaluates proposed state legislation.
