Congratulations to Norwood’s Own Mitch Weisbrot on being named Athletic Director of the Year for District 2A by the Maryland State Athletic Directors Association! This well-deserved recognition celebrates Mitch’s outstanding contributions to interscholastic sports and the excellent athletics program here at Norwood, as well as his remarkable impact on the lives of countless young athletes! Way to go, Mitch! 🎉🎉🎉
During a recent gathering, 1st and 5th grade buddies had fun creating cards and writing thank-you notes for the many people at Norwood who keep the school running, organized, clean, and safe. We know these beautiful cards and messages will be loved by the people who receive them as much as these buddies loved making them and being together! 💙🤍💚
We are grateful for moments like these and for our incredible community of students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and grandparents! And speaking of grandparents, let’s hear it for our pre-K students who stole the show at their first Grandparents and Special Guests Day Concert on Tuesday! 🎶

It’s almost showtime! 🤩 The fall play “Hoodie” opens tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. Come see our seventh and eighth graders in this fun vignette-style play written by Lindsay Price about the backwards, forwards, and inside-out of teen life. Three performances: Thursday 7pm, Friday 7pm, and Saturday 2pm in the Murray Arts Building. 🎭

It was only fitting that the last class to attend orientation this week was the Class of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣ as they kicked off their last year at Norwood. We loved seeing our eighth graders on campus today, and we can’t wait to watch them experience lots of Norwood “firsts” and “lasts” this year.
