🏫 Prior to the first day of school, spend some time on the school campus.
This includes playing on the playground, finding your child’s classroom(s), as well as attending any events organized by the school.
💙 This is especially important for students on a new campus, and can help associate the school with positive memories and decrease stress prior to the first day.
Easing into school routines is also helpful: this may include altering wake up times, reviewing bus protocols, or practicing locker combinations.
Some students may also benefit from using a social story to help them predict what to expect at a new school or classroom.
Have a great school year!

There are many factors to consider when selecting the best school that go beyond performance, funding, and safety.
📣 While WEG considers each of those areas, over the past 20 years we have developed a “School Selection” report that considers over 40 factors in five major areas.
We often testify in court proceedings about which school is best for the child or children in question and we provide these reports to parents all over the United States.
These reports are prepared by educational experts who have worked in schools, have advanced degrees in education and have authored peer reviewed articles and books.
⁉️ How can WEG help you select the best school for your child?
