Girl Scouts from St. Jane de Chantal over this summer participated in GS Unite at the Girl Scout National Convention in DC. Girls carried flags at the National Flag Ceremony honoring all 50 states, U.S.territories and over 153 country flags. De Chantal Girl Scouts also participated in high events at Franklin Park in DC making new friends and keeping the old. ,

The final day of Mrs. Cooper’s Science Camp was spent at the National Aquarium. Students enjoyed the dolphin training, the touch tank where they got to pet horseshoe crabs and jellyfish, and of course seeing the sharks.

Day 4 of Mrs. Cooper’s Science Camp was spent exploring the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center. Students enjoyed seeing the Space Shuttle Discovery, learning about how space affects your body, and seeing the I-MAX movie Hubble 3D.

Congratulations to our 8th grade CYO boys who won the RBBA Seniors 14U/15U Division last night in a 6-5 comeback victory! It was an exciting game and a beautiful evening. Way to go Dukes!! ⚾️⚾️

Day 3 of Mrs. Cooper’s Science Camp was a trip to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Students enjoyed the dinosaur hall, the Hope Diamond, the rocks and minerals exhibit, and the oceans exhibit.
