Cedar Lane Nursery School

Just a quick reminder that our CLNS play date is this Saturday from 10am-12pm at the school playground. We’re looking forward to a fun, relaxed time for the kids to play and for everyone to have a chance to connect.

Spots are still available for Summer Fun 2026! Join us at Cedar Lane Nursery School for themed camp weeks including Chefs & Scientists, Global Explorers & Performing Arts, Little Picassos & Builders, Beach Bash & Olympics, and Fairy Tale Fantasy. Open to all families and No co-op requirements for parents!

As another school year comes to a close, we want to thank Teacher Doreen, Teacher Ellie, and Teacher Bernie for all you have given to our children this year.

Thank you for seeing each child as an individual, for encouraging them, challenging them, and helping them grow. The care and attention you bring to your work make a lasting difference, and we are grateful for the role you play in our children’s lives.

We have been so busy having fun we forgot to share — here’s what we’ve been up to!
🐛 Live caterpillars in the classroom! Egg carton caterpillars, butterfly books at circle time, and observing the different stages of the life cycle! We are fully captivated by it.
🚀 Our 4/5s built an Artemis launch reenactment and every class got to come try it. Kids tilted back in their chairs just like a real astronaut team and simulated take off. The pride on their faces was everything!
🍦 We made our own ice cream truck! Because what is spring without an ice cream truck art project.
🚲 Our annual Bike-a-Thon did not disappoint. Bikes, scooters, balance bikes — everyone zooming around the track, counting laps, and feeling like absolute champions. It is always one of our favorite days of the whole year.
And otherwise- good vibes all around!

Hearts & Gold Last week was full of excitement at Cedar Lane, with Valentine’s Day celebrations and lots of enthusiasm surrounding the Olympics. The children loved sharing about the events they’ve been watching, from ice skating and curling to snowboarding and more. It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity and energy spark conversations and play in the classroom. To celebrate the Olympics we did a fun sorting activity using the colors of the Olympic rings. We had large yarn circles in blue, black, green, red, and yellow. The children found items from all around the classroom. The children excitedly filled the large rings with the appropriate colored toys!
