It is back to school time, please be on the lookout for students getting to and from school. We ask everyone to be extra careful around our buses and know that when the red lights are flashing and the stop sign is out, all traffic must stop. This includes parking lots at the schools! Thank you for your help in keeping our kids safe while getting to and from school.

Our 5th graders are eligible for this program! Join Maine West Project Play for some mountain bike fun ⛰️🚲

***PROGRAM FULL***
We are excited to announce that we will be offering a Middle School Mountain Bike Program this fall for athletes in grades 5-8.

Programming will be offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning Wednesday 9/9, with flexibility for your athlete to attend all or some of the days as well as local races, depending on interest.

Mondays: 2:30 - 4:30
Exploration of local trails including Bethel Community Forrest, Pinehill, and Bacon Hill.

Wednesdays: 2:30 - 4:30
Skill-building day focused on fundamental mountain bike skills for any rider on local trails. (hopefully Mt. A!)

Fridays: 2:30 - 4:30
Ride at Mt. Abram bike park!

Eight exceptional educators from across the state are semifinalists for 2027 Maine Teacher of the Year. On Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Maine Department of Education (DOE) and Educate Maine officially announced these semifinalists, who will deliver keynote speeches, submit professional portfolios, and participate in an expert panel discussion about educational equity, teacher leadership, and education policy as part of the next phase of the Maine State Teacher of the Year selection process.
