Our middle school students were reminded today that this school year can be the year that YOU WIN!

Brandon Dawson shared powerful messages that challenged our students to think differently:

🌱 “Life will let me win. This school year is the seed.” What you plant, nurture, and believe in today can shape your tomorrow.

💧 “The label doesn’t make the drip—you make the drip.” Don’t let a label define you. YOU define YOU. Your choices, effort, attitude, and determination make the difference.

⏰ Spend your time and money wisely. Money can buy many things, but your time can buy the rest of your life. Make every minute count!

And perhaps the most important reminder: Life will let you win, but it will also let you lose—and the decision lies in YOU.

Our incredible 8th Grade WEB Leaders stepped up in a BIG way by welcoming and hosting our 5th graders for orientation!

These student leaders helped our newest middle school Buccaneers learn the ropes, build connections, ask questions, and feel right at home as they begin this exciting new chapter.

A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing donors and community partners who poured into our Bethel Buccaneers!

Because of the generosity from the NCDOT, Pitt County Sheriff Department, and Bethel Baptist Church our teachers and students have the supplies and resources they need to make this school year brighter, stronger, and more successful.

Your kindness reminds us that when our school and community come together, we truly shine brighter together!

Our First Official Day Back: Brighter Together!

The 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and our Bethel Buccaneers are already SHINING BRIGHTER TOGETHER!

Our staff kicked off the year with a schoolwide scavenger hunt designed to help us learn more about one another, build connections, affirm our teammates, and celebrate the strengths each person brings to Bethel. Along the way, we were reminded of an important truth: we each have greatness within us, and when we step into that greatness together, amazing things happen!
Here’s to a year of connection, encouragement, purpose, and possibility.
