This summer, my little art business, Paint.Doodle.Create., celebrated its 10th year!
A whole decade filled with creativity, laughter, messy hands, and colorful projects. We’ve gone through gallons of paint, endless pieces of paper, and just about every art supply you can imagine. But more than anything, we’ve created memories.
One of the greatest gifts of teaching art is getting to watch a child grow from a curious kindergartener into a capable, confident, and creative young adult. I’ve had the privilege of watching students discover new skills, solve problems, take creative risks, make mistakes, try again, and slowly find their own artistic voice.
To all of the families who have supported their child’s love of art — thank you. And to all of the kids who have returned year after year to paint, create, experiment, and explore — thank you for making these past ten years so special.
I’m incredibly grateful for every messy masterpiece, every laugh, every “look what I made!” and every student who has walked through my door.
