Standing Stone Academy Dedicated to excellence in the Mystical Arts and Sciences through accessible education. Courses are primarily online.

Opening its virtual doors in March 2014, Standing Stone Academy is dedicated to providing accessibility to, and promoting excellence in, the Mystical Arts and Sciences. While still under formation, the academy will eventually offer courses and certificate programs in a wide spectrum of areas in the fields of healing, ministry, magic, Western mysteries, and Pagan priestess craft. Classes can be tak

en individually for personal enrichment or as part of a certificate program. Most classes are offered online and are comprised of video lectures, required readings, and written examinations. For those students in a practitioner training program (such as healer or minister certification), web conferencing and on-campus intensive skills trainings are also required. Standing Stone Academy is pleased to announce that it's second online class is now open.

EHT 102 - Fundamentals of Elemental Theory
This class explores the concepts around the "Elements" and how they relate to human health. Topics covered include; the four qualities, the four elements, the elemental disease processes of excess, deficiency and stagnation, how each element presents in the natural world as well as human physical and mental/spiritual health and illness, other elemental systems and how they can inform our system, more.

The course includes three written lectures, two video discussions, pertinent graphics and diagrams, and a 20-question final exam. The entire course is self-paced and online. Students who complete the course and pass the exam with a grade of 80% or more receive by email a certificate of completion.

Ideally students will take EHT 101: Principles of Health and Healing prior to taking this class but it is not required unless seeking credit as part of the Elemental Healer Training program. This course can be taken as a stand-alone personal enrichment class or to meet the course requirements of the Elemental Healer Training Program.

Today I completed the three written lectures of my next online elemental healing class - Elemental Theory. All I have left is to finish two video lectures and get those posted. I hope to have it done on Friday.

I also got a good start on the next two classes: one on "Energetic Anatomy" and one on "Pathogenesis".

Standing Stone Academy's first online class is now open. As part of our "Elemental Healer Training Program", we are happy to present the short introductory class:

EHT101 - Principles of Health and Healing.
This class examines the foundational principles around the ideas of health and healing. It defines what "health" is, what it means to "heal", and who/how/what is healed. Also covered are the roles and responsibilities of a "healer" and the worldview of traditional healing systems.

The course includes three written lectures, short video discussions, pertinent graphics and diagrams, and a final quiz. The entire course is self-paced and online. Students who complete the course receive by email a certificate of completion.

This course can be taken as a stand-alone personal enrichment class or to meet the course requirements of the Elemental Healer Training Program.
