🐾Driver’s Education class will be starting  September 14th - September 30th. (3:35pm-6:35pm located in the cafeteria).

🐾Transportation is not provided.

🐾The cost will be $63.00 for one complete class.

🐾Students must be AT LEAST 14 and a half  to qualify for the course.

🐾A copy of the student Birth certificate will be required to secure a seat in the class.

🐾Spots are limited, first come first serve.

🐾See Ms. Mitchell in the front office for sign-up forms.

PARENT PORTAL UPDATE REQUIRED

Parents and guardians who need Parent Portal access should complete the Pitt County Schools Parent Portal Request Form.

Our goal is for all parents and guardians to have access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and complete the Annual Student Update for their student.

The Annual Student Update helps ensure that we have the most accurate and up-to-date contact, demographic, and student information on file.

How to Get Started:

1. Scan the QR code below, or save the image to your phone.
2. Press and hold the QR code to access the link.
3. Complete the Parent Portal request and/or Annual Student Update as directed.

First day was a success!

It was great seeing our Panthers all under one roof. Today, our students and staff were intentional about getting to know one another and learning how to interact with each other throughout the school year.

We took steps to establish the instructional framework and review the blueprint of what makes a positive learning environment and school culture.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Michael Duran to the North Pitt High School family!

Mr. Duran is a recent graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies with a minor in Exercise Science. He also brings his passion for athletics to North Pitt as an assistant with the Panther Soccer Program, supporting both the Varsity and JV teams.

At North Pitt, Mr. Duran looks forward to building strong relationships with students, supporting them as they work toward their goals, and making a positive impact throughout the school community.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Ja’Niya Cook to the North Pitt High School family!

A proud native of Bethel, North Carolina, Ms. Cook earned her Associate in Arts degree from Pitt Community College in May 2025. She currently attends East Carolina University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services with a concentration in Family Science. She is expected to graduate from ECU in Spring 2027.
Ms. Cook is also a proud second-generation Pitt County Schools educator. Her mother has dedicated 29 years of service to Pitt County Schools, making education and service an important part of her family’s legacy.

Ms. Cook is the Vice President of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Honor Society. She is also a 2021-2022 recipient of the Argie Cannon Service Award through the Pitt County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. GEMS Program. This recognition honors her commitment to leadership, service, and making a positive impact in her community.

At North Pitt, Ms. Cook looks forward to using her education, experiences, and passion for service to positively impact our students, families, and school community.

🎶 EXCITING NEWS FOR THE NORTH PITT HIGH SCHOOL BAND! 🎶

We are excited and extremely grateful to announce that the North Pitt High School Band Program has been awarded $58,066.96 through the James J. and Mamie Richardson Perkins Grant!

This generous grant will allow us to make a major investment in the future of our band program by purchasing brand-new step-up instruments for our students, including:

🎵 Flutes & Piccolos
🎵 Clarinets
🎵 Alto Saxophones
🎵 Trumpets
🎵 Trombones
🎵 Euphoniums
🎵 Tubas

🥁 The grant will also allow us to replace our concert percussion equipment, providing our percussion students with updated instruments and resources for rehearsals and performances.

Providing students with access to quality step-up instruments will give them the opportunity to advance beyond beginning-level equipment as their musical skills develop. These instruments will support improved tone quality, technique, musicianship, and overall ensemble performance while serving North Pitt band students for years to come.

We are incredibly thankful for the James J. and Mamie Richardson Perkins Grant and this generous $58,066.96 investment in music education and the students of North Pitt High School.

This grant is about much more than purchasing instruments. It is about expanding opportunities, removing barriers, investing in our students, and continuing to build the future of the North Pitt High School Band Program.

We cannot wait to put these new instruments into the hands of our students and hear what they accomplish!

Congratulations to Ms. Keisha Johnson on being named the Pitt County Schools Teacher of Excellence for the 2026–2027 school year!

Ms. Johnson received this recognition today during the Districtwide Exceptional Children’s Teacher Meeting. Her commitment to supporting students, advocating for their needs, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed exemplifies what excellence in education looks like.

We are incredibly proud to have Ms. Johnson as a member of the North Pitt family and grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of our students each day.
