REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! 📚 The school year is quickly approaching and Level Up Learning will be offering enrichment small group classes this fall! We made sure to offer classes to meet the interests of all learners so there's something for everyone!
Classes will begin Tuesday, September 5th and will be held locally in Bethel, CT with daytime and after-school options. These are specifically for students between the ages of 5-12 years old. Logistics and scheduling is still being worked out but we wanted to gauge people's general interest so if this is something you'd be interested in for your child, please comment below or send us a message! 📨
• Reader’s Workshop 📘: Students will work their way through several varied literature units to hone in on reading, critical thinking, grammar, and creativity. They’ll learn how to analyze and comprehend texts through rigorous and innovative activities. This Socratic-based program is taught in a fun, hands-on, engaging way with a book club vibe! Weekly reading will be assigned for students to complete at their own pace at home.
• Writer’s Workshop ✏️: During this class, students will have a relaxed atmosphere to work on writing assignments associated with the novel from reader's workshop, while also gaining valuable insight on how to improve their abilities. Offering additional time and extra support will help to reduce stress or anxiety that many students encounter during the writing process. Assignments will be differentiated to each student and their unique writing ability.
• The History of Mathematics ➕➖➗✖️: People have used mathematics since ancient times. This class will take students from 6th century BC to present times by learning about how mathematics came to be.
• Immersive Art 🎨: Students will learn about various artists throughout history, while recreating some of their most famous masterpieces.
• STEAM 👩🔬: In this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) class, students will question like a scientist, design like a technologist, build like an engineer, create like an artist, act as a mathematician – and, most importantly – play like a kid!
• Crafty Creations ✂️: Let your creativity flow and create something beautiful! Each week will focus on a new project, according to the theme or season, where students will have the opportunity to explore various forms of art.
• Strange & Silly Science 🧬: This class features a new experiment weekly where students learn about chemical reactions, make hypotheses, and explore the endless possibilities the world of science has to offer. Various projects will have a strange or silly twist to it and children will learn why things happen, while having a blast doing it!
• Tour the USA 🇺🇸: Buckle your seatbelts, we’re traveling the good ol’ U.S.A. from the comfort of our own classroom! Students will explore all there is to know about our 50 states, learning historical and fun facts!
