SCU Psych Club celebrating a successful year! So grateful for our students and sponsors!
Thanks so much to all that donated, volunteered, and sewed on Saturday! Wrapped in Love is an ongoing project and we would love to connect with others to reach our goal of 1,000 quilts for homeless children. These cuddle quilts are about 50”X60” and we welcome your contribution! Feel free to share this cause with friends, quilting guilds, quilt shops, church groups, etc.

Such a fun time today at SCU Psych Club’s Sew What Potluck! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated to this great cause! We will be partnering to create 1,000 quilts to be given away. Please contact us if you’d like to sew or donate to the Wrapped in Love quilt initiative to provide a personal sized quilt for children without a permanent home.

I'm so excited that our SCU Pscyh Club is partnering with Feed the Children to provide a cuddle quilt to homeless children. Each year, Feed the Children provides a backpack of school supplies to children without a permanent home. This year, students from SCU and SNU along with many other caring individuals will sew quilts 50" X 60" to give in addition to the backpacks. Would you like to help? We'd love for you to be a part of this worthy adventure! We're sewing today at SCU's Poteet Conference Center in Bethany, OK from 9-4. Bring something yummy to eat to share. If you have sewing experience, supplies, etc., feel free to bring that along, too! See you there!
This Saturday, our SCU Psych Club is sponsoring this all day event where we will be making rag quilts to be distributed by Feed the Children along with backpacks of school supplies. We're expecting to distribute 1,000 quilts and backpacks this year to children who have been identified as homeless in the state of Oklahoma. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share, your sewing machine, etc., and create a gift for an elementary school aged child. What are best materials for rag quilts? Some fabrics make better rag quilts than other and all are welcome! Some favor flannel fabrics that are warm and do not require batting. Come join us for food, fun, and fellowship on Saturday!
