The Awakening had the privilege of participating in “Love Week” at our IPHC church in Bolivia.
We got to participate in prison ministry, ministry in girl’s homes, a nursing home, sidewalk Sunday schools, rehab/recovering centers and a home for people with exceptional needs. We also got to pray for people at hospitals, handing out free breakfast and giving meals to people living on the streets.
A theme verse for us was Luke 14:21b-23
“…’Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ And the servant said, ‘Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.”
There is still room at the Master’s table and he has called us to go out and search for those who have yet to take their seat as his table. From the loneliest of prison cells to the highways and byways where families are in need of hope, Love Week was all about showing Jesus’s love to those who others may have forgotten about.
Thank you, Pastor Tulio Vargas and La Casa Del Padre for allowing us to be a part of what God is doing in IPHC Bolivia.
