✈️ September is Attendance Awareness Month!

At AAHS, every day in the classroom is another opportunity for our Champions to learn, connect, grow, and prepare for what’s next. Consistent attendance helps build strong academic habits, keeps Champions connected to their teachers and peers, and ensures they don’t miss the experiences that move them closer to their goals.

✈️ September is cleared for takeoff at AAHS!

A new month means new opportunities for our Champions to learn, lead, grow, and S.O.A.R. From Senior Installation and the start of Mission Support Cycle I to Family Academy, the Jet Store opening, and our Hispanic Heritage celebration, September is packed with opportunities to connect and celebrate our school community.

🚨 AAHS TRAFFIC ALERT | PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY🚨

AAHS families, please be aware of a major traffic disruption on I-65 South in Shelby County following significant damage to the County Road 87 overpass near Exit 234.

⚠️ I-65 South is currently closed at Exit 234, with traffic being diverted in the Alabaster/Calera area. Significant delays are expected, and the closure may remain in place for an extended period.

If your afternoon commute or route to/from AAHS takes you through this area, please plan accordingly, allow additional travel time, and consider an alternate route such as Highway 31.

Please continue to monitor local traffic updates before traveling.
