Good afternoon parents! This is Ms. Poag calling with your weekly update. On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the boy scouts will be visiting BCP, and on Wednesday September 2, 2026 at 6pm they will have an information session here at school for parents to come sign up and/or learn more about the Boy Scouts. Girl Scouts are coming at the end of September. Please remember that our morning car line is only one lane and you must pull up to the teacher and let your child out. When you pull up, please make sure that your child is prepared to get out of the car with bookbag ready, etc. Also, please ensure that the car/bus tags on their bookbags stay on their bookbags. If you need a new one please let us know. This is valuable to us as they arrive and dismiss at school.

This is Ms. Poag calling with your weekly update for August 24-28, 2026! We would like to thank everyone for a great first full week of school last week. This week we will continue with beginning of the year assessments and focusing on instruction and procedures.

Dear Parents,

This is Ms. Poag calling with your weekly update. Than you all for a great first week of school! We are welcoming our kindergartners to school for full days this week, so the bus routes and car line may take a little longer as we ensure they get home safely as well.

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to a wonderful first day of school tomorrow! Our doors open at 7:05am and we will begin opening car doors at that time, and children will arrive on buses. Please remember to use the car line to drop your students off, as this helps with a smooth arrival for students. We can not wait to see your students first thing in the morning.

Dear Parents,

This is Ms. Poag calling with your weekly update. We look forward to a very busy week at Bessemer City Primary. Monday, August 10th is orientation. We will post teachers names by 3:30pm, and orientation for A-K is from 4:30 to 5:30, and L-M is from 6-7:00pm. Wednesday is our first day of school and morning arrival is the same as last year. Please pull up and teachers will be there to assist children to their classrooms.

Yesterday, our 2nd grade team had a surprise visit from some local organizations who showered grade level with school supplies to help them get ready for the upcoming school year. Thank you to 101 Black Men for Highland, Moloch Elks Lodge 468, TOPS Ministry, Mount Zion Restoration Church. and the Gastonia Police Department for supporting our school!

Welcome back to the start of another amazing school year at Bessemer City Primary! We look forward to Welcoming all of our busy Honeybees back to school on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Please remember our school day begins at 7:30am.

Orientation for our students is Monday, August 10, 2026. Last names that begin with A-K come from 4:30 to 5:30, and Last names that begin with L-Z attend between 6-7pm. We look forward to meeting all of you!
