The Lee & Coglianese families would like to thank Farther Bart, all the parishioners, staff, students & their parents, and teachers of St. Odilo Parish for all your prayers, love, support, and generosity for our Chrissy (Mrs. Lee), which you have shown her throughout her battle with cancer these past three years. She loved each and every one of you, as she was so loved by all who knew her. She was not afraid of death. Her last words to her family were, “I am ready to go home!”

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you of the passing of our long time friend and teacher, Mrs. Christina Lee. Chris worked tirelessly and enthusiastically as not only a teacher, but an organizer and fundraiser for our school. She was beloved by students, parents, and co-workers alike. We offer our prayers and send our condolences to her family.
A celebration of Chris’ life on will be held on Sunday, July 14th, between 3-8pm at Russo's Hillside Chapels and the Funeral Mass will be at Divine Providence in Westchester on Monday, at 10am. May the angels lead you into paradise.

Thanks for a great year everyone. God bless all of our students and our staff as they begin a new adventure. Thanks to all those who came before. The spirit of St. Odilo School will be forever in all of our hearts.
Congratulations graduates!
Our Drama Club presented “The 11:00 Show” this past week. The students spent many months learning and memorizing dialogue, songs, and dancing. The performances were terrific, and we are so proud of the students for their dedication to doing something extra to make our lives a little brighter!
Our Varsity and Junior Varsity Soccer Teams finished their soccer seasons last night and early this morning Saturday, June 1, 2024. These two soccer teams got a lot of new kids out for a sport this year and our faculty is very happy with the participation and enthusiasm of the soccer teams.
The Saint Odilo Athletic Program has now come to an end for the 2023-2024 school year. Congratulations to all the athletes who participated and competed in a sport this year. We are proud of all the hard work you all did and the long hours you committed to making yourselves better students and athletes. Some of our athletes participated in all five sports. All these athletes will be honored and recognized at our honors assembly this coming week.
As a school and athletic program we had a lot of success with starting four new teams this year in the sports of:
cross country
volleyball
soccer
track and field
and in continuing the basketball teams as well.
We are proud of all of our athletes and hope everyone continues to participate in athletics at your new schools.
Thank You to all of our athletes for a great year of sports and a job well done!
Sincerely,
Mr. Daniel Cossa
Athletic Director

Congratulations and a big shout out to the Saint Odilo track and field team who competed in their second track and field meet on Saturday, May 11, 2024. All the athletes were able to put their minds to the test and finish some hard races and events. This is a very new and different type of learning that they benefited from in a most incredible way.
Ten athletes all did multiple events and did a great job. We look forward to our final track and field meet on Friday night May 17, 2024.
The St Odilo Varsity Soccer Team for grades 6, 7, and 8 played its first game on Saturday, April 20 against the River Forest Area Youth Soccer Team at Veterans' Stadium in Forest Park. The man of the match on defense was Giovanni Garcia. The man of the match on offense was Celso Leanos.
The St Odilo Junior Varsity Team played against the Forest Park Area Youth Soccer Team. The woman of the match on defense was Saidey Moreira. The woman of the match on offense was Gisele Hernandez. The Lou Gehrig Iron Man Award went to Andrian Espinal and Yahel Vera. Both boys played in both matches. We play sports at St Odilo to have fun, learn individual skills, learn team skills, experience success, and learn from disappointment.
Congratulations to the girls volleyball team for completing all of their scheduled volleyball games. We are going out with the win against Saint Giles in the first match today. We have come a long way since the beginning of the season and a long way from one year ago when having a volleyball team was nothing more than a dream, desire, and wish. Great job on your persistent attitude and begging your coaches to have this team. All of your hard work and efforts paid off with a great learning season and a job well done.
On behalf of the Saint Odilo staff and faculty we are all very proud of this girls volleyball team. Your persistence and enthusiasm was inspirational to see and a quality that represents an attitude of making things happen and creating your own future. We always have this choice in everything we do in life, and this team chose to create something great. Great job this season.

Boys Basketball: The varsity team got its fourth win against Saint Leonard's 7th grade, winning by a score of 30-9. Congratulations, and great job! This team plays with much ease and grace. One more regular season game, and then the playoffs start. The JV team got valuable experience in the game prior to the varsity.
Our new St Odilo School Girls' Volleyball Team played its first game on Thursday, March 14 against St Vincent Ferrer School in River Forest. St Vincent Ferrer scored more points but our girls were winners in school spirit and fun. Mr Cossa, our Sixth Grade Teacher, serves as School Athletic Director. Ariana Roman is our volunteer coach. Our team practices in the old Our Lady of the Mount School Gym in Cicero. We are very proud of our girls.
