Meet Dr. Njabulo Tshaka Ncube
Mentee at Strategic Transitions- Professional Pathfinder Program

Dr. Njabulo Tshaka Ncube is a medical doctor and recent graduate of the Copperbelt University School of Medicine, recognized with the University Leadership Award and as the Most Inspirational Final Year Student. He has held key leadership roles, including President of COBUSU-SOM and COBUMEDSA, Academic Secretary of ZAMSA, and Secretary for Health and Environmental Affairs at NACOSU, among others. Passionate about healthcare excellence, patient care, and youth development, he brings strong skills in problem-solving and strategic planning. Dr. Ncube aspires to pursue a Master’s in Public Health, specializing in health policy and management, while advancing his vision of contributing to Zambia’s health policy landscape and becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Meet Amara Nokutenda Chikumbirike
Mentee at Strategic Transitions- Professional Pathfinder Program

Amara Nokutenda Chikumbirike is a third-year medical student at the University of Lusaka and founder of Girl Up Lusaka, a United Nations Foundation initiative empowering adolescent girls and young women in Zambia and Zimbabwe through menstrual health education, leadership development, and SRHR advocacy. She has reached over 150 girls with menstrual health knowledge and was honored with the Girl Up Project Award for her leadership and impact. Amara is now working to launch MedConnect Africa, a platform to mentor and equip medical students across the continent. Aspiring to be a physician who bridges clinics and communities, she is committed to building stronger health systems, advancing equity, and empowering young people, especially women, to lead their own health journeys.

Meet Dr. Sandra Chitalu
Mentee at Strategic Transitions- Professional Pathfinder Program

Sandra Chitalu is a Medical Doctor, debate coach, and a certified United People Global (UPG) Sustainability Leader. She served as the Debate President at the University of Zambia’s Ridgeway Campus in 2023, where she mentored over 20 students in public speaking and organized campus debate leagues. She has also worked with the Zambia Paediatric Association as a debate judge for school competitions that raise awareness among young people on issues affecting their health and well-being.

Sandra is a passionate advocate for sexual and reproductive health and human rights in faith spaces. She has spoken on international platforms, including the Council for World Mission (CWM) and the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF). She aspires to create meaningful impact in the global health sector and is committed to mentoring young people to reach their fullest potential.

Meet Grace Simataa
Mentee at Strategic Transitions- Professional Pathfinder Program

Grace Simataa is a passionate public health graduate dedicated to improving health outcomes in underserved communities through education, advocacy, and community development. With experience as a public health tutor at the City University of Science and Technology, she has taught and supported research in reproductive health, community health, and healthcare systems.
Grace has contributed to initiatives with organizations such as Restored Hope Zambia, the FAO’s Scaling Up Nutrition Program, and PABAA, promoting sustainable nutrition, mental health awareness, and community engagement.
A McKinsey Forward alumna and Masomo Scholar, her journey, shaped by personal resilience, reflects her commitment to equity, prevention, and building healthier, informed communities in Zambia.

Meet Dr. Christine K. Shilengwe

Dr. Christine K. Shilengwe is a dedicated and compassionate medical doctor, recently graduated and deeply passionate about internal medicine. With a vision to specialize in autoimmune and non-communicable diseases, she aspires to be a physician who not only treats but also uplifts her patients—serving with love, empathy, and a strong sense of humanity.
Driven by a lifelong commitment to learning, Dr. Shilengwe is constantly seeking to expand her skills—both clinical and beyond the hospital walls—with the hope that every new experience adds depth to her personal and professional journey.
She aspires to live fully, serve wholeheartedly, and leave a lasting impact in the medical field by combining knowledge, skill, and heart.
