Field Day = SUCCESS!

Our 4th graders at Knowlton School had an absolute blast showing off their speed, teamwork, and maybe a little silliness during Field Day! Students dripped, dropped, and dodged their way through games like Drip Drip Drop, built their best Hula Huts, escaped the tentacles of Octopus Tag, and got soaked during the Sponge Relay!

There were laughs, cheers, wet sneakers, and memories made all day long. We’re pretty sure some students discovered hidden Olympic talents... and others discovered just how much water a sponge can hold!

Way to go, 4th grade! What a fantastic day of fun, friendship, and field day adventures!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR HEAD OF THE HERD RECIPIENTS!

Each of these students have been selected because they consistently demonstrate what it means to RISE through Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Empathy. These are not just words on a poster or expectations in a handbook. They are values that help make our school a place where everyone can learn, grow, and belong.

Ms. Jo was pied in the face by her bus 21 student of the year....HARPER MERRILL!!! She earned a certificate of achievement, $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble and the best prize of all....pieing Ms. Jo!

Ms. Erickson's class has been using all this sun and warm weather to their learning advantage!!! They have been exploring renewable energy in class and put the sun to work with their homemade solar ovens to cook s’mores.

Our 4th grade Girls on the Run participants hit the ground running at the 5K this weekend! From excited smiles at the starting line to proud celebrations at the finish, our runners showed perseverance, confidence, and teamwork every step of the way.

There may have been a few tired legs and lots of sweaty high-fives, but these girls proved they can do hard things! We are so proud of their dedication throughout the season and their amazing accomplishment at the 5K.
Way to go, girls….you crushed it!

Our 4th graders at Knowlton have been busy preparing for Market Day! Students were given a budget, “paid” for their materials, and worked with partners to create products to sell to their classmates. From planning and problem-solving to teamwork and creativity, students experienced real-world economics in action!

This hands-on experiential learning opportunity gave students the chance to practice budgeting, collaboration, marketing, and entrepreneurship…..all while having fun. We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and excitement throughout the project!
