The curriculum of the Shenandoah Beauty Academy, School of Cosmetology provides a complete course of study in cosmetology. The cosmetology program is a 1500 hour course, which contains performance skills required by the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology. Student Levels:
1. Freshman level (10 wks./350hrs.)
2. Sophomore level (21 wks./1,080hrs).
3. Senior level (1,080-1,500hrs). After successful completion of the program the student will take the State Board of Cosmetology exam. After passing the written and practical exam the student will receive a state license to practice as a professional cosmetologist in hair, skin, nail salons, and spas within the state of Virginia. Full-time- Total hrs. per wk.:36 - (Approx. 11 Months)
Tuesday - Friday - 8:30am- 4:30pm- (7 1/2 hrs. per day)
Saturday - 8:30am- 3:00pm - (6 hrs.) Mandatory class attendance.
