Delbert Bonner, Class of 1967, passed away last Sunday. Delbert, Charles (his brother) and I shared an apartment at the University of Alabama one year. I had not seen Delbert for many years. It is always a sad occasion when we lose one of our friends and classmates.

Thanks again to Elwood Simmons for the recent steak dinner. It was good to see him again and meet his daughter and grandson. It was a great impromptu reunion for members of the class of 1966 and guests from the class of 1967. Thanks to Elwood for "sharing the wealth" with his former classmates!

Roger Handley: Thanks to Elwood Simmons for the recent steak dinner at the Last Frontier. Several members of the classes of 1966 and 1967 were on hand to welcome Elwood back to Alabama for a visit. He currently resides in Indiana and has had an interesting and rewarding life. Again, thanks Elwood for your generosity. It was great seeing you again.

It was gratifying that so many of our classmates showed up for Kenneth's funeral. I was still under quarantine for Covid or I would have been with you. I had to miss the high school reunion, as well. Hoping to see all of you soon!

If I say anything off the wall, please overlook it. I've been sick off and on for over two weeks. I went to the doctor today. After a few tests, he said no Covid and no bronchitis. But I do have pneumonia, and it sure does feel a lot like Covid--temperature spiking over 101. My normal temp is 97.5. The dry coughs are making my ribs sore and making my bad hip stab me like a knife. I'm taking doxycycline, extra strength Tylenol, and oxycodone (left over from my last cancer treatment). I have to buy the codeine cough syrup tomorrow, then I can stop the oxycodone.
