A thriving regional economy requires a sustainable talent pipeline—and that pipeline begins in our K-12 classrooms. Addressing the educator shortage isn't just a school issue; it’s a workforce and economic imperative for Michigan businesses.
For those new to our work, Talent Together is an innovative partnership model solving the teacher shortage by expanding state-certified apprenticeship pathways, allowing aspiring educators to earn while they learn.
This October, we are hosting the inaugural Educator Workforce Conference: Harvesting Teacher Talent: From Policy to Practice in Ann Arbor, MI.
We are explicitly inviting community builders, business executives, and workforce development leaders to join education innovators and policymakers at the table.
Conference Highlights:
Oct 21 | Pre-Conference: An inside look at innovative apprenticeship support programs, including Model Teacher Lab demonstrations.
Oct 22 | Main Conference (In-Person & Virtual): Keynote addresses, policy panels, and research-driven breakout sessions on workforce sustainability.
Why attend as a business or community leader? You will gain actionable insights into how public-private partnerships can address systemic labor shortages and build valuable connections with leaders shaping Michigan’s workforce future.
