So proud of Drs. Ahlberg & Hayes. Their leadership and service at the Michigan Conference teachers' conference was much appreciated. Jeremy Hall, VP of Education for the conference gave the following feedback for the event, which included other STEM educators from Andrews.

"It was a wonderful event. I had a 30-year veteran teacher say that it was the best teachers' convention she has ever attended in all of her years. She said that 100% of everything she participated in will impact her upcoming year. She also commented about the kits, how all the work was done for her, and she can just apply what she's learned, and she was beaming."

Dr. Hayes attended the Geoscience Research Institute conference, which included a two-day field trip to explore erosion, deposition, and volcanism associated with the Columbia River Flood Basalts.

He then enjoyed the professional presentations from scholars in the natural sciences within the framework of a biblical understanding of origins and Earth history.

Keeping busy this summer...

Dr. Randall, writing recommendation letters. Mr. Rorabeck running forensic tests. Dr. Ahlberg, prepping lab equipment. Mrs. Johnston, taking chemical inventory. Dr. Hayes organizing demos. Christiana washing glassware. Drs. Jose-Larong and Merga, are not on campus this week, but they’ll be back soon.

And in six weeks we’ll welcome you back for fall semester! Tell us what YOU are doing this summer.

Great to have our alums visit us over the summer. Dillon Zimmerman stopped by to run some samples with Dr. Hayes for his master's research at University of Dayton.

Also, we are proud of Dillon's recent teaching award posted in the Columbia Union Visitor.
