FUNDAMENTALS TRACK. For students looking to play popular styles such as country, folk, blues or rock for personal enjoyment. This track provides an overall picture of the various approaches to the guitar. Three levels based on Hal Leonard's Guitar Method by Will Schmid and Greg Koch.
ESSENTIALS TRACK. For students looking to acquire solid skills in the guitar that will prepare them to enter more advanced studies in classical, jazz or flamenco. The skills acquired in this track are also transferable to others popular styles as well on acoustic or electric instruments. The information is also suitable for those who wish to enter conservatory training. Three levels based on the Frederick Noad's First Book for the Guitar.
ELECTRIC GUITAR TRACK. (Fundamentals or Essentials Skills Required) A one-level track designed to teach how foundational skills on the guitar apply to playing music on the electric guitar. The student will learn skills such as pull-offs, hammer-ons, power chords, advanced melodic lines (licks) for playing solo guitar, stecatto and legatto, scales and modes, tone, equipment such amplifiers, pedalboards and more.
CLASSICAL TRACK. (Essentials Skills Required) A two-level course for advanced studies in the guitar. The information will prepare the student to enter conservatory training or supplement any advance courses in classical guitar. Based on the Frederick Noad's Solo Guitar methodology.
JAZZ TRACK. (Fundamental Skills Required) A three-level course for intermediate and advance studies in the guitar. The course offers foundational skills that will prepare the student for advance Jazz studies. Based on the Berklee's Modern Method for Guitar by William Leavitt .
FLAMENCO TRACK. (Essentials Skills Required) A two-level course for intermediate and advanced studies in the guitar. The track offers foundational skills in Flamenco playing. It will prepare the student to enter more advance studies in the flamenco tradition. Based on Dennis Koster's methodology.
