Thank you to our prayer warriors! Today was a wonderful start to the new year. Students first moved into their rooms, had a chance to get to know their own class, then headed to the gym for a special assembly. We ended the day with our annual handshake — a tradition the kids have so much fun with!

Please consider joining us on August 15 at 7PM for our annual prayer walk. It is a time for us to walk around the campus and surround each learning space in prayer. The enemy hates what we do in our Adventist schools. VAES wants to invite the Holy Angels’ protection for each child and staff member in the 2026-2027 school year.

How to Pray for Your Child’s Teacher

As teachers attend meetings, prepare their classrooms, and get ready to welcome a new group of students, let’s remember to cover them in prayer.

🙏 Pray for wisdom — that God will guide them as they prepare for the year ahead.

🙏 Pray for their hearts — that they will begin the year refreshed, encouraged, and filled with patience and joy.

🙏 Pray for their students — especially that teachers will recognize the unique needs, strengths, and challenges of each child and know how to meet them.

🙏 Pray for God’s presence — that He will use each teacher to make a lasting difference, not only academically, but spiritually.

“Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

Before the first day arrives, let’s begin praying for the teachers who will pour into our children all year long.

The teachers of VAES are at Camp Au Sable for teachers convention this week. Camp always provides a wonderful spiritual retreat, but it’s a training time too. Andrews University is providing STEM training and materials for each school. We’re having fun learning, and we can’t wait to share new things with our students!
