Puerto Rican and Dominican designer Keila Sánchez founded KozySaila in 2014, as a source of light during a time of family uncertainty. She started sewing from home to cover her daughter Saila's medical expenses. Saila was born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) leading to 5 open-heart surgeries at a young age. Thankfully, these life saving surgeries were a success and Saila is alive and thriving,

a joyful, living miracle. Today, Keila's passion and creativity are the driving force behind the growing brand, KozySaila, named for her daughter. The brand features a versatile collection of accessories, designed with a playful mix of fabrics including velvet, leather, and cashmere. In a short time, KozySaila has gathered a group of loyal fashionistas who can’t get enough of the bold, elegant, artistic pieces. Each accessory is thoughtfully designed to be worn many ways, each of which will add the finishing touch to any outfit. Although her degree is in Art Education, Keila soon realized that her true calling is in fashion design. After several years of creating wearable art pieces inspired by her love of color and pattern, Keila sought to transform the everyday scarf. Today, KozySaila’s scarves have become a fashion-forward, year-round accessory that has garnered the attention of the fashion world. In 2019 Keila showcased her first designer collection for Paris Fashion Week and continues to grow her business from her home-studio in Southwest Michigan. From bold colors to classic prints, KozySaila is the timeless statement piece every wardrobe needs. As a designer, Keila’s goal is to continue developing versatile fashion accessories for all while helping families in their fight with CHD.
