The halls are quiet tonight… but not for long! Tomorrow, we get to welcome our Trojans back through the doors for another year of learning, growing, laughing, figuring things out, and making memories along the way.

Erin is officially joining the crew that helps keep this place moving, the office running, the questions answered, and—let's be honest—probably hears, “Do you know where Mr. Foreman is?” at least 37 times a day. 😄

Tulpehocken Area School District, in partnership with Berks Community Health Center, is pleased to host the Wellness Bus on Thursday, August 13, at the Tulpehocken Area High School.

The Wellness Bus provides an excellent opportunity for students to receive:
• Required school immunizations
• Annual well-child checkups
• Other routine preventive healthcare services
Services are available through your insurance or on a sliding fee scale for eligible families.

If you would like your child to be seen on the Wellness Bus, please use the link below to register:

After you submit the registration form, Berks Community Health Center will contact your family to complete the registration process and schedule an appointment time.

This is a great opportunity for students to receive any immunizations required for school attendance, including:
• Kindergarten: Students entering kindergarten must have all required Pennsylvania school-entry immunizations.
• 7th Grade: Students entering 7th grade must have one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) and one dose of Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV).
• 12th Grade: Students entering 12th grade must have a second dose of the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV), unless they received their first dose at age 16 or older.

We encourage families to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to ensure their children are healthy and ready for the start of the school year.

📚 Back-to-School Forms Are Now Available! 💙💛
Parents and guardians, please log in to Sapphire and complete the required back-to-school forms before the start of school.
Please be sure to complete the Beginning of Year Packet for your student. In addition, families of student drivers should complete the appropriate transportation forms:
🚗 Student Drivers: If your student will be driving to school, please complete the online form to obtain a parking pass.
🚙 Student Passengers: If your student will be riding to or from school as a passenger in a student-driven vehicle, that form must also be completed.
Completing these forms ahead of time will help ensure a smooth start to the new school year.

During Friday’s Awards Ceremony, I unfortunately overlooked one of our most prestigious student recognitions. I sincerely apologize for this oversight. More importantly, I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the students who earned this distinction through their dedication, leadership, and commitment to making our Middle School a positive, welcoming, and enjoyable place for their peers. Their efforts throughout the year have helped strengthen our school community, and they deserve to be recognized for the impact they have made. While I regret that this recognition was missed during the ceremony, I am grateful for the opportunity to properly acknowledge and celebrate these outstanding students and their accomplishments.
The Portrait of a Trojan was started this school year and is used as the guiding principle of our school district. The portrait represents the important foundational habits that all Tulpehocken Trojans need to be successful. The five habits and pillars that embody the portrait are a Resilient Individual, an Innovative Problem Solver, an Effective Communicator, a Compassionate Citizen, and an Active Collaborator. The Portrait of a Trojan Award honors students who truly represent the heart and spirit of our school. These students consistently show integrity, kindness, leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility. They are the ones who lift others up by example and make our school a better place just by being themselves. We are proud to recognize them not only what they do, but for who they are.
