Yesterday the BKW FFA had an amazing opportunity to meet with Governor Hochul, Commissioner of Agriculture Richard Ball, NYS Legislators & their staff members, Farm Bureau members & agriculture producers from all across NYS at the Farm Bureau's Annual Taste of NY in Albany. Our members assisted the Albany County Farm Bureau with sharing local agriculture products. We want to thank Albany County Farm Bureau for providing this opportunity to our FFA chapter!

Before this event our members were invited to sit on the NYS Assembly Floor to watch and learn how policy is made in our state. A special thank you to Assemblyman Chris Tague for hosting us and speaking to us about the importance of agriculture education and farming in New York State.

Today was the District II FFA Leadership Development Competitions at Schoharie Central School. There were over 200 members from 17 schools present!! BKW was well represented and the results are in:

Moving on to Eastern Region Substates are:

Ag Issues Team (Andy, Apollo, Connor, Jameson, Jake & Karleigh) - 2nd 🥈

Conduct of Chapter Meeting Team (Daniel, Emma, Gavin, Lily, Lolly, Nick, Starr) - 2nd 🥈
