I was out testing the new GI-275’s on Sunday in N501DF. ✈️ It’s always a pleasure ftalking to PSPTOWER in the morning. We’ll see you tomorrow for coffee! 😎

Four years of signed-off annuals. Four years of “certified airworthy” logbook entries. Then we pulled the panels and found severe structural corrosion, cracked seat rails, and a missing engine data plate. This is what happens when maintenance gets pencil-whipped. As pilots and aircraft owners, trust but verify isn’t just a saying—it’s a safety imperative. The FSDO packet is in the mail today. Watch for the reality vs. what was written in the logs. Stay safe out there.

When the sun feels personal, you gotta improvise. Ice-cold Playmate from Igloo Coolers + MISSION towel = instant sanity restoration. Consider this my official summer uniform. ☀️🔥 Drop a 🧊 in the comments if you’re melting today!

Yesterday afternoon, my dad played the first of what are to be many Sunday afternoon shows at Agua Caliente in Cathedral city. He’s still got it! (My dad plays bass) 🥰😎

It tears you up when you buy an airplane with every intention of bringing it back to its prime, only to pull back the inspection panels and find a history that never should have been signed off. Four fraudulent annuals. Years of ignored reality. A hard truth that no amount of passion can bypass safety.
It breaks my heart taking these final photos. I wanted so badly to put this bird back in the air, but the safest and right choice is knowing when to pull the plug.
Even if she won’t fly as one piece again, her story isn’t over. Her engine, prop, and avionics are going to keep other aircraft safely in the sky, and her airframe is going to train the next generation of AMT students so this kind of negligence doesn’t happen to the next pilot.
Sorry I couldn’t save you, 03E. Let the part-out begin. 🛩️💔🔧
