ATTENTION FAMILIES: As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to make sure you are aware of the meal programs and pricing changes that are effective beginning when students return on August 31. Please visit https://www.worcesterk12.org/article/3079100 to view the meal options and pricing for your child's school.

As a reminder, families can use MySchoolBucks (https://www.myschoolbucks.com/) to check their child's meal account and/or add funds to their account in advance of the school year. If your family's financial circumstances have changed, you may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Information about meal benefits and the application process is available by contacting your child's school or visiting https://www.worcesterk12.org/page/food-service.

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible custodial crew for all of their hard work this summer! 👏 They have been working behind the scenes to make sure Stephen Decatur High School is looking its absolute best and is ready to welcome our students and staff back!

✨ Shiny hallways
✨ Clean, refreshed spaces
✨ Classrooms ready for learning
✨ And lots of Seahawk Pride throughout our building!

We know how much time, effort, and care goes into preparing a school for a new year, and we are so grateful for everything our custodial team does to make SDHS a place we can all be proud of.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we're excited to highlight schools welcoming new members to their administrative teams.

Please join us in welcoming the Stephen Decatur High School leadership team! Thomas Sites returns as principal, joined by returning assistant principals Jennifer Garton, Deshon Purnell, and Trevor Hill. They are also joined by Lauren McGinnis, who is new to the Stephen Decatur High School administrative team as assistant principal.

We're excited to see this team lead the Seahawks into another successful school year!

6️⃣ Years. One. Incredible. Community. 💙🖤🤍

We are truly honored — and incredibly grateful — to once again be named Coastal Style Magazine ‘s , marking the sixth consecutive year that our community has given us this distinction!

This recognition belongs to so many people who make our school what it is: our amazing students, supportive parents, dedicated faculty and staff, proud alumni, and the community that continues to stand behind us. Thank you, thank you, and thank you for believing in Stephen Decatur High School, cheering on our students and staff, and making this place so special! 🏫

And there’s a little more celebrating to do… 🎉 We’re also proud to announce that Mrs. Amy Fenzel-Mergott was voted and Mr. Jim Beard was voted 🚌 Two more well-deserved recognitions for members of our school family.

Six years is an incredible milestone, and we don’t take a single vote for granted. Again, thank you for making SDHS your BEST SCHOOL.

Alumni take the title! 🏆

Stephen Decatur High School alumni & coaches as well as 🦋 club members played for the Morgan’s Message team in the OC Lax Classic tournament this weekend and won the championship for their bracket for the first time.

Players included Lindsay Owens, Shannon Bone, Eliza Leitner, Alison Leiner, Jill Burton, Ava Konyar, Laila Pascucci, Kennedy Kirby, MB Morse, Madison Buas, Addison McDaniel, Alison Diesel, Jessica Beck, & Abby Yesko.
