🏫 Hubbard Elementary School Promotion
The journey continues! We are also celebrating our 5th graders at Hubbard Elementary. These students have officially completed their promotion ceremony and are ready to take on middle school! It’s amazing to see how much they have grown since their first days of school, and they are officially onto the next big step.

🎓 Kicking Off Our 2026 Promotion Series!

A NIGHT OF RECOGNITION! 🎓🎨🏆✨
Last night’s Board of Education meeting was packed from wall to wall with incredible milestones, talent, and well-deserved recognition for the Berlin Schools community!
💐 Honoring Our Retirees
First up, a beautiful in-person ceremony was held to honor this year’s retirees. To our retiring staff: thank you for your countless years of hard work, unwavering dedication, and the massive impact you’ve left on generations of Berlin students. You will be deeply missed!

Following the ceremony, the official Board meeting was a massive showcase of what makes BHS and our district so special:

The Hubbard Chorus absolutely lit up the stage earlier this week! Not only did they blow us away with their incredible voices, but they also brought some serious visual magic to the performance with an amazing light display.

Worlds Collide: Future Media Pros in the Making! 🎬🎙️
Yesterday, the halls of Berlin High School were buzzing with creativity as we welcomed 5th graders from Hubbard Elementary for a hands-on Media Workshop day!
Working alongside BHS staff and student mentors, these young creators dove head-first into the world of digital storytelling:
📺 In the TV Studio: Led by Ms. Niro (BHS Tech Integration Specialist), students ran a full newscast. From anchoring and reporting to managing the "behind-the-scenes" tech, they saw exactly what it takes to produce a professional broadcast.
🎥 In the Library: Mr. D’Arcy (Media Director) and Ms. Hannon (Hubbard Tech Integration Specialist) led a filmmaking intensive. Students took on roles as directors, actors, and cinematographers to produce "Dos and Don’ts" videos about life at BHS, getting a real feel for a movie set before heading to the editing bay.
It was an incredible day of mentorship. Our 5th graders got a true taste of the media pathways available to them as they move on to McGee and eventually BHS. Everyone had a blast, and the future of Berlin Media is looking bright! 🔴⚪️🔵
