Throwback to some of our single leg work with .amaral_! Remember when you run you are taking a series of single leg jumps to move as quick and as powerful as you can. Ensuring each leg is strong and the correct muscles fire properly is HUGE in taking your game to the next level and reducing injury!
Molly and Grace killed their session today!! These girls know the importance of being strong on the field and are doing everything they can to be ready for this Fall season!
._.mullings working on our reverse OH Medball throw! She does a great job of using her hips to help create as much power as possible. With this exercise you want the athlete to use a lighter medball so they can focus on creating the power quickly. Then to progress the athlete further you can add a jump at the end of the movement making sure they hit triple extension at the top of the jump (hips, knees, and toes should all be fully extended)
Working on being explosive doing a KB High Pull with ! She did a great job at keeping her back flat, popping her hips to help her drive the KB up, and driving her elbows up and back. The fastest path to the top of the movement is a straight line so the key here is to keep the KB as close to the body as possible throughout the movement and not to let the KB stray from that straight line.
