A few weeks into the fall semester, and some days still feel wobbly? That's normal.

Whether you pulled your kids out this summer or you're a few years in and rethinking things, there's no single "right" way to homeschool in Texas. Lessons at the kitchen table, learning on the road, a slow week that turns into a great one โ€” it all counts.

If you're just getting started (or starting over), our Start Here page walks through the basics in plain language, one step at a time.

๐Ÿฆ‹ Texas becomes part of the monarch migration route twice each yearโ€”but fall is when the show usually gets easier to spot.

By late September, monarchs begin moving south through the state toward Mexico, and October often brings the strongest migration activity. Warm, sunny days with lighter winds can be especially good for seeing butterflies feeding on nectar-rich flowers or gathering before continuing south.

This guide explains when monarchs pass through Texas and where you can improve your chances of seeing them, including the National Butterfly Center and Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park in South Texas, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas Discovery Gardens in Dallas, Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, and other nature centers and gardens across the state.
