Our public class series wrapped up last Sunday. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us this Spring. It is a great joy to share Balinese dance and music with our community!

Each year our Music Guest Artist Director teaches Balinese gamelan at UC Berkeley alongside Professor Lisa Gold. We are so grateful to be able to weave into the UCB fabric and share Balinese gamelan with the next generation.
The end of semester concerts bring together students, GSJ Guest Directors and GSJ members for a wonderful free show for the community.

Can you name that tune?! The first video feautures a fun unseasonsal surprise by Ida Bagus Made Widnyana who reworked a set of ten songs with this theme in 2008, commissioned by a Japanese gamelan ensemble.

Our first ever class was incredible!
We enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing a little bit of Balinese dance.
