Starting in the Summer 2014 semester, students will be required to use GoPrint! prepaid cards to pay for computer printouts (the same cards used on the other Peralta campuses).

PAPER PRINT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE LIBRARY AFTER MAY 23RD, 2014 (the last day of the Spring semester).

Zines: the zest of life

Featuring zine artists/writers: Shenaaz Jonmohamed, Raphael Villet, Vanessa X, Tepei Ando, and Ara Christina Jo

What is a zine? A zine is a self-published, original work of art and text, easily (or sometimes not so easily) reproduced for distribution.
BCC's own Tomas Moniz will facilitate a discussion between zine writers/creators about their creative processes and how identity influences their work.

Following the panel, artists and zinester, Ara Jo will lead students in a workshop to create their own zine using found materials, a typewriter and an open mind.

This is the first event to launch BCC's own Zine Library, which will be the East Bay's first academic library zine collection!!

Please encourage your students to attend; this should be a really fun, interesting and groundbreaking event.

Spring 2014 hours:
Mon - Thu: 8:30 am - 8:00 pm
Fri: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Sat: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Library-specific print cards are required to print in the library! We can no longer accept cash! Please buy your print cards at the cashiers office ASAP. The cards can be purchased for $1 (10 pages) or $5 (100 pages).
