Foilists and friends of Charlie: Join us to celebrate our 10th Selberg Invitational!

We invite all our favorite people to join West Berkeley Fencing Club and the West Coast Fencing Archive in celebrating our coach Charles Selberg on Sunday June 14th 2026.

The 10th Annual Selberg Memorial Foil Tournament is for veterans of all genders aged 50 and up.

We’ll be serving refreshments in our garden. Friends & family are encouraged to come along.

Entries will be limited to 21 so please pre-register.

Designed for beginning-level youth fencers ages 7-12

June 15-June 19

We will explore swords and fencing in history, folklore and fiction of all types. Campers will vote on which themes to cover during the week: Knights, Musketeers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Percy Jackson, Wonder Woman, Star Wars, Samurai/Ninjas and classic movie sword fights. All in all it will be a week of fencing, fun, fantasy, history, fun and fencing! Class size will be limited to allow for ample distance between students. Sign up now to reserve a space!

An impressive 70+ ref-curious folks joined us for our annual Referee Certification Seminar followed by The Bay Cup - Observational Edition.
Many thanks to NorCal division for sponsoring this event and continuing to prioritize Bay Area referee development and to Peter Burchard for presenting and mentoring.
Over 20 clubs were represented among the seminarians with big contingents from Halberstadt Fencers' Club, Fencing Club at UC Davis, and Massialas Foundation MTeam Fencing.
Looking forward to a strong up and coming cadre of local officials in the 23-24 season!

Camden & Theo fought their way into the top 16 of Y12 Men's event.
