Mitch Rostad, M.D. is a Mobility & Athletic Performance Specialist. He has worked with hundreds of athletes at all competitive levels, including world champions. Dr. Mitch leverages his foundation in medicine to provide a breadth & depth of coaching that is rivaled by few. He has elucidated human health fundamentals & honed his craft to work with YOU to eliminate your performance restrictions & pain to reach your body’s full potential.
Mitch has 3 core beliefs:
1. Agency: Understanding the source of restriction, implementing a complete & understandable approach to fix it. YOU deserve specific answers. YOU deserve better than "you could be 20% better in 3 months".
2. Simplicity: You don’t need a nutritionist, personal trainer, physical therapist or chiropractor to achieve your goals! We will concentrate on the key life areas of sleep, hydration, nutrition, mobility, strength & how to optimize them in your life all at the same time.
3. Facts: We know too much about anatomy & physiology to accept “maybe this will work” as an answer. Mitch's work is rooted in fundamentals that dictate the human condition.
“It felt good to be competing again, just need to say thank you … I lost 30 pounds and competed at the lightweight division & Mitch helped me to get there. 4 months ago I could not do one push-up & now I am back to tournaments.” -Prof. Eduardo Fraga

Repost from using repost_now_app - The one bright spot of being sent away from everything I love is that now I have time to think, especially about the people I miss most.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my family lately. Yesterday marked the 15-year anniversary of the passing of my uncle, Carlson Gracie. My father, Robson, and my uncle were two of my heroes when I was growing up. When I had my first vale tudo fight at the age 20 in 1992, even before the first UFC, I knew I was carrying their legacy into battle. I felt as if I had them right next to me in the ring. I miss them greatly.
I miss my brother Ryan every day. Although it’s been 13 years since he left us, his memory is as strong as ever. When I see his son, Rayron, I know that he is still with me and Renzo and our family.
I miss my children. My son, Rygan, is my inspiration. As many of you know, Rygan fought and beat leukemia. No parent should have to see their child suffer like that. His battle was far greater than anything I ever faced. He is the true champion of our family.
I miss my students. As a teacher, nothing feeds my soul more than seeing you grow as martial artists and as people. Every new student who walks into my gym also walks into my family. Our souls become one, bonded by the sweat and tears.
I understand times are very difficult for many of you. I appreciate you standing by me, our team, and the gym. I will repay you one day for your loyalty. If there comes a day where you have to fight—in a cage or in a hospital—know that I am there right next to you.
This pandemic will end soon and we will once again be together.
Please keep the gym going for me.
Love,
Ralph

Repost from using repost_now_app - In the Art of War, Sun Tzu wrote, “He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.”
As warriors, we must never forget this lesson. Unfortunately, this time, I chose to fight the wrong battle. Actions have consequences, and I must face them.
On Friday, I will report to jail on the shoulders of the generations of jiu-jitsu fighters before me. My body may be behind bars for a short time, but my mind will remain free.
I would like to thank Renzo () and our jiu-jitsu family for their tremendous support. I am also very grateful to all of my students for standing with me. I wish I had handled this situation differently, because I strive to set an example for all of you. Nonetheless, you knew what is in my heart and stood by my side. With you next to me, I can never lose. And I love you for that.
I’ll be back with you soon.
Love.
Ralph

Na Arte da Guerra, Sun Tzu escreveu: “Ele vencerá quem sabe quando lutar e quando não lutar”.
Como guerreiros, nunca devemos esquecer esta lição. Infelizmente, desta vez, escolhi travar a batalha errada.

This the number of squats that our kids achieved last week.
It’s very hard to keep our BJJ kids motivated, that’s why we have these challenges.
It helps them improve focus, dedication and keep them in shape!
Great job kids! Keep it up.
