"That’s the paradox of the growth mindset. Although it seems to draw attention to failure, and in fact encourages us to seek out failure, it is unflaggingly optimistic. We will struggle, we will fail, we will be knocked down—but throughout, we’ll get better, and we’ll succeed in the end.” - Excerpt from the book “Switch: How to Change Things when Change is Hard.”

Wow only one day left until DFA's TeaOne fundraiser!!!! Please come out and support us by buying some refreshing tea and mentioning our club at the register! DFA's Food Injustice Team have been working really hard to use our resources, skills, and and passion to think of meaningful ways to combat food injustice in the Bay Area, and especially on campus! Food insecurity plagues a lot of Berkeley students, so be a part of our effort to find a long-term solution to such disparities. Can't wait to see everyone there! Also shoutout to Ruhi Pudipeddi for this amazing poster!

Meet our last DFA leader Emily Koagedal who will be working on the Combating Food Injustice in the Bay One Bite at a Time Team!!!! Emily is currently a sophomore studying Computer Science. When she's not at school, studying, working, or practicing her design/coding skills, she spends her time exploring the beautiful city of San Francisco, baking or cooking, or bungee jumping off of bridges. After attending her first hackathon ChimeHack2, which focused on different ways to make women feel safer in the world, she realized that technology could be used to solve social justice problems and combat the injustices in our world. This is what made her fall in love with tech and design! Emily loves DFA because it is a club that solves problems within our community that actually last!
