Happy Everyone meet тaeyu

Hi!! I’m Taeyu, and I’m currently a sophomore studying English. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but I moved to LA really young, and have been living there ever since!! I always wanted to be surrounded by a community of girls that inspire and encourage me to grow as a person, and joining a sorority seemed perfect for me! I did fall COB for GPhi, and it’s been the best decision I’ve EVER made in my entire life. Every event during COB was so fun and cute, and every sister I met was so welcoming and super sweet, which led me to accepting my bid with zero hesitation and so much excitement!!! 💗💓💕

My fav part of GPhi right now is our sisters, the cute sisterhood events, our Barbie dreamhouse, Benji, Paisley, and the yummy food!!! 😋 I can’t wait for all the memories we’re gonna make together that will be cherished for the rest of our lives!

More stuff about me— my favorite color is purple, and my favorite flowers are sunflowers and lilies 🌻🤍 My favorite hobbies are spending time with friends, going to cute cafes, and trying new things! My favorite snack at the moment is cookie dough, and a fun fact about me is that I had super curly hair as a toddler!!!

Happy everyone meet Maya 🩷🎞️ Hey! My name is Maya and I’m a senior transfer student here at Cal. I’m from San Jose, and I’m currently studying integrative biology. Transferring to Cal as a junior was very nerve wracking for me, because I felt like I had so little time to make the most out of Cal. When I was younger, I grew up with stories from my mom about her time as a GPhi sister in college, and all the memories and life-long friends she made. I joined GPhi because I hoped that I could have experiences like my mom had, but also so that I could quickly make a diverse group of friends who could show me around Berkeley and support me as I entered into a 4-year university.

Now a year after joining GPhi, I can happily say that I have done exactly that. My college experience would be nowhere near as fulfilling without my sisters by my side, and I look forward to a lifetime of more memories with them. ❤️

Happy everyone meet maria 🩵 Hiiii everyone!! I’m Maria ♡ I’m studying Political Economy 📚 and maybe adding a Sociology or Spanish minor 👀. I’m from Napa, CA!! I joined Greek life because I really wanted to find a community of people who are just as excited to make the most out of college as I am! I’ve always loved being part of teams and having a built-in group of people to laugh with, go through life with, and make memories with, so Greek life felt like the perfect way to find that at Berkeley 🫶🏼 My favorite part of GPHI so far is 100% the people!! I love how easy it’s been to meet so many different girls and how everyone is so welcoming and down to have fun. I feel like I’ve already made so many memories and I’ve literally only been here for a little bit 😭💗

A few things about me: my favorite color is blue 💙, I’m happiest when I’m doing something active and I love playing soccer, lacrosse, and water polo (and I also danced!! ⚽️💃🏻), Skittles will always have my heart, and Bags by Clairo is probably always on repeat 🎶

Fun fact: I can talk about pretty much anything for hours, so professional yapper might actually be my biggest personality trait !!I love traveling, dancing, meeting new people, being involved in my community, and anything that involves getting way too competitive over something that absolutely does not matter hehehe. I’m also Mexican and speak Spanish, so you’ll probably hear me randomly switch between English and Spanish pretty often 🇲🇽🫶🏼
