🎓✨ Our Promotion Ceremony on June 4 was a beautiful celebration of growth, achievement, and new beginnings.

Students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade shared heartfelt reflections, memories, and words of gratitude as they marked important milestones in their educational journeys.

Games Day 2026! This annual event brings together all K–8 students at Black Pine Circle School for a day of games, food, and fun! It’s a great way to come together as a community before diving into summer. Games Day had it all: potato sack racing, tug-of-war, soccer, badminton, flag football, co****le, a basketball arcade, and more!

A huge shout-out to Coach G and Coach Michael 🙌 who planned and organized all the games, and to all the staff and parent volunteers who helped make this day such a success! 👏💪

Yesterday’s farewell celebration for Mr. G brought together members of the BPC community, past and present, to honor a true legend. After 30 years of dedicated service as an upper school math teacher and coach of our award-winning math teams, Mr. G has left an extraordinary legacy and made a lasting impact on many young lives.

It was wonderful to welcome so many alumni, families, former faculty, and school leaders back to campus for this special occasion, including Frances Kandl, one of BPC’s founders and head of lower school Laura Wolff.

As Mr. G begins this well-deserved retirement, we extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to him and to his wife, Zina, who has been a valued teaching assistant and partner throughout the years. We wish them both every happiness in this exciting new chapter. 🎉🎉

Inspired by Caine's Arcade, our 6th graders created their own cardboard arcade. Students used low-tech tools (cardboard, duct tape, foil) and augmented them with higher-tech MaKey MaKey boards, circuits, and Scratch programming to make their games even more interactive. Along the way, they engaged in the engineering design process, collaborating and iterating upon their designs. Today, students in every grade were invited to come try out the games on the upper school campus. Combining fun with creativity and problem solving made for a richer learning experience.
