We hope you are all well,
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend last night's community meeting! We found our conversations surrounding the Latinx Resource Center very fruitful, and appreciate your thoughtful comments and suggestions.
For those of you who were unable to attend, Latinx Caucus is joining the CLSD, the Graduate Association of Latinx Students, and ASUC Senator Rodriguez in writing a letter in support of a Latinx Resource Center on the fourth floor of Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union. The current occupants of the space, bridges and QARC, are in the process of transitioning into other spaces on campus.
You can find the Letter of Support here:
https://tinyurl.com/LC-LRC-letter
To assure that we are given this long-overdue space on campus, we urge Latinx-identifying community members and student organizations to sign on to the letter. It is critical that we reflect the extensive support there is for a Latinx Resource Center before the MLK Student Union Board votes to approve or deny us of this space.
If you, or your entire organization, are interested in signing our letter in support of an LRC, please fill out this form:

BY TONIGHT, TUESDAY, November 24 at 11:59 PM.
Additionally, The Student Union Board will be voting on whether or not the fourth floor should be designated for the Latinx Resource Center at UC Berkeley this upcoming Monday, November 30th at 1 PM. We highly encourage you all to join us in attending this meeting and showing your support as a community member or organization by making a public comment that day.
More information on this meeting is to come!
We welcome any comments, questions, or suggestions about the letter in support or the LRC Initiative in general. Feel free to DM us on or r email us at ([email protected]) and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
