Here is some feedback from students who attended this workshop in October:

I really liked it and it gave me more confidence in studying because now I feel like I’m actually knowing how to do it and what I’m doing is going to have an impact.

This workshop was very helpful in helping me realize my study habits aren’t the best, and that’s ok. It was great to take the time to grasp new strategies I can incorporate and how they would actually look as I put them into motion. The examples were perfect.

I found it really helpful because it helped me find the most effective ways to study and how to deal with distractions. Thanks

This workshop gave me tangible examples of study strategies and how to start implementing them.

Why Students Will Move Mountains for Some Teachers (But Not Others) — Classroom Matters 09/10/2025

One of Classroom Matters' core strengths is matchmaking. We invest significant thought and effort into finding the right tutor or coach for each client. While we don't get it perfect every time, 25 years of experience has made this process one of our superpowers.

Why does the fit matter so much? Because relationships drive learning. When students connect with their tutor or coach, everything changes—their willingness to take risks, ask questions, and push through challenges.

I explore this idea in more depth in a recent blog post about why students perform differently for different teachers. If you have a few minutes, I'd love for you to check it out and share your thoughts.

Why Students Will Move Mountains for Some Teachers (But Not Others) — Classroom Matters By Lisa Miller & Tatiana Guerreiro Ramos You've probably witnessed it: your child comes home raving about one teacher while complaining endlessly about another. Same kid, same school, vastly different effort levels. What’s up? The answer is simpler than you might think: relationships driv
