Recently honored with the Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize for her groundbreaking work in Brill-Noether theory and the geometry of the moduli space of curves, Professor Larson is an Assistant Professor and Clay Research Fellow (2022-2027) in UC Berkeley's Department of Mathematics.

This year, Big Give falls on Pi Day, Thursday, 3/14! As we celebrate this mathematical constant, the entire UC Berkeley community will also come together to show their constant support for their favorite departments and programs in our annual online giving day.
Join us this year in supporting the Friends of Mathematics Fund. Your generosity will enrich all facets of the department's activities, from enabling undergraduates to organize student groups to innovating the facilities where we investigate a multitude of mathematical problems. Congratulations to the Department of Mathematics' Assistant Professor Yunqing Tang on being selected to receive a 2023 Sloan Research Fellowship. Professor Tang joins five other 2023 Sloan Research Fellowship recipients from UC Berkeley to make up the largest number of fellows this year from any one public university.
