Happy Chinese Lunar New Year everybody, we are happy to have celebrated and welcomed the new year of the Snake together! Everyone at GMIS had a great time today dressing up, sharing dances, performances, as well as different cultural attire. The joy experienced today will surely make a powerful impact on each child’s mental, physical, social, and emotional development. Thank you to our co-host Dr. Lilly, teachers, staff, and volunteers for helping to put this beautiful event together.

🔬🐢 Special Mini Guests at GMIS Today! 🦎🌿 Every Tuesday, the incredible teachers and volunteers from The Lawrence Hall of Science visit us at GMIS to embark on a journey of scientific discovery with our children. Today's session was highlighted by the introduction of their little companions – the Box Turtle and High Yellow Leopard Gecko! Our students were thrilled to meet and interact with these fascinating new friends.

Our summer program has now concluded and we are sure everyone had a very fun last day on Friday. Children learned about seaweed, made lots of colorful sea-creature art, made a special gift to take home, and ended the week with water day and ice cream!

Today is the last day of our summer program! It's crazy how fast summer went by. Friendly reminder that school is closed for the next two weeks in preparation
for the 2023-2024 school year!
