Muchísimas gracias a La Orquesta de Instrumentos Reciclados de Cateura por ofrecernos un concierto increíble esta semana. Nos encantó la música y nos sentimos inspirados por su talento. Esperamos que vuelvan a visitarnos pronto. 🎻 ♻️🎶

A huge thanks to the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura for playing an incredible concert for us earlier this week. We loved the music and were inspired by your talents! We hope you will visit us again soon. 🎷♻️🎵

All the way from Asunción, Paraguay, these young musicians play instruments made from recycled materials collected at the Catuera landfill. You can learn more about their remarkable story in the 2015 documentary “Landfill Harmonic.”

Earlier this week, we held our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Workshop Day presented by our Latine Student Union!

Students and staff created engaging workshops highlighting and celebrating Hispanic and Latin American History, Culture, Food, and more!

We were also honored to welcome actor and educator Rolando Morales as our keynote speaker. He shared stories from his acting journey and led a special musical performance alongside several talented Maybeck students.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a memorable and meaningful day!

During our Fall Retreat at Berkeley Tuolomne Camp, our School Director, Beth, had a chat with a few students and staff to ask about some of their favorite moments.

Our Fall Retreat was filled with unforgettable moments—unplugged, in nature, and fully steeped in the warm, open-hearted community that makes our school special. It is always the perfect way to begin a new school year.
