Maybeck High School Independent high school in Berkeley, CA. Maybeck is an independent, teacher-run, co-educational, college preparatory high school.

Founded in 1972, it is a vibrant community dedicated to learning, where all forms of diversity can flourish amid mutual support, respect, and responsibility. Through small classes, high expectations, academic excellence, and programs outside the school, students prepare for college and acquire the tools to engage actively and creatively in the wider world.

Classes start tomorrow, but we’re still buzzing from an incredible week!

Last Monday, we held our orientation, where students got to meet new friends while learning the ins and outs of our school.

We then spent the next several days at Berkeley Tuolumne Camp, spending time together as a community while learning, hiking, swimming, playing, performing, and more.

Here are just a few of the many highlights from an unforgettable week. 🍍

Congratulations to the Maybeck High School class of 2026!🎓🍍🎉

This year's graduation ceremony was a one-of-a-kind celebration filled with music, moving speeches, poetry, laughter, tears of joy, and even interpretive dance!

Graduates, your Maybeck family is incredibly proud of what you've accomplished. We wish you tremendous success in your next chapter. We can't wait to see you again at future alumni events.
