Congratulations to our wonderful DEI Director on completing their Masters degree in Asian Studies with certificates in New Media and Urban Studies!! Pratiti shares, “BSA is at the heart of who l am at Berkeley. It is where identity making, cross border relationships and my dearest friends were made. I think my favorite memory is putting together the entire Dalit History Month Exihibition, from designing it to putting it up to receiving feedback. It was a wonderful team effort and I love BSA for letting me lead something like this.” Pratiti spearheaded the initiative for BSA to explore topics related to DEI, from exploring feminist themes in Bengali films to curating our FIRST EVER library exhibit for Dalit History Month examining Dalit political movements in Bengal. Such projects required massive effort and guidance, both of which Pratiti provided consistently, allowing BSA to become a much more academic, thoughtful, and inclusive space. As a friend and mentor we will miss you, while your efforts and hopes for the club will continue. 🎉🎊🎓

(1/3) Congratulations to our first 2023 grad, Tasmiah Khan! From member to major events coordinator to co-freaking-president, she has been at the core of BSA and its operations, especially post-covid. Emphasizing how much she “enjoyed BSA for the lively adda and special people,” Tasmiah helped foster a similar feeling within many members. Ever so dedicated, thoughtful, responsible, and fun, we will miss her greatly and feel her contributions well into the future!! ❤️💛🎓🎉🎊
